Instructions for presenters

All presentations

The final abstracts will be published on the symposium website unless specifically requested otherwise.

Please check the time of your session in the very final program – last minute changes are always possible. And don’t forget to adjust your clocks: Finland is in the Eastern European Time Zone EET (UCT +2).

Oral presentations in parallel sessions

Presentations should last no longer than 15 minutes to leave a few minutes for questions and discussion.

Please bring your presentation on a USB flash drive/memory stick and make sure it is ready to roll before the session starts.

It may be a good idea to email your presentation to nds2017 [at] utu.fi or to your own email as a backup. A data projector and a PC will be available in all session rooms.

Poster presentations

The one-hour poster session will take place in the afternoon of the first conference day. There will be no other meetings or sessions during this time, and the presenting author is expected to be available to present the poster and discuss the work with symposium participants. The best poster of the symposium will be awarded at the closing ceremony.

Posters should be portrait oriented, with a maximum width of 87 cm and height of 117 cm.

The posters will be located on the 2nd and 3rd floor of Publicum. The poster stands are not numbered, but please check the floor for your poster from the programme. We will provide help and materials for attaching posters and encourage you to set them up either during registration or the end of lunch. After the poster session, the posters are welcome to be left on display until Thursday evening.
