Two international researchers of philosophy of sport visit the Unit of Philosophy<\/h1>\n

Unit of Philosophy organised a seminar \u201cDoping, Death, Danger, Sport and Philosophy\u201d on 18th of February in 2015. The seminar had two speakers from the Charles University in Prague: Professor Jim Parry <\/a>and Doctor Irena Mart\u00ednkov\u00e1<\/a>. Parry is, amongst others, Series editor in Routledge’s \u00a0Ethics and Sport <\/a>book series and\u00a0Mart\u00ednkov\u00e1 has, for instance, published\u00a0 articles in the journal \u00a0Sport, Ethics and Philosophy<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Parry asked in his presentation \u201cWhat\u2019s wrong with doping?\u201d and discussed various arguments\u00a0which have been offered\u00a0to show\u00a0that\u00a0doping is\u00a0problematic.\u00a0Mart\u00ednkov\u00e1\u00a0focused on talking about\u00a0dangerous sports from the\u00a0phenomenological viewpoint.<\/p>\n
