Our cluster group, entitled &#8221;Improving Ourselves as Moral Agents&#8221;, is made possible by\u00a0a prize from <a href=\"http:\/\/philosophyandscienceofself-control.com\">The Philosophy and Science of Self-Control research project<\/a>, which is based at the University of Florida and directed by<a href=\"http:\/\/myweb.fsu.edu\/amele\/almele.html\"> Alfred R. Mele<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The cluster group, open to philosophers, neuroscientists and other scholars interested in issues of self-control, is coordinated by Susanne Uusitalo, with <a href=\"https:\/\/theoptimalself.wordpress.com\">Polaris Koi<\/a> as co-coordinator. Thematically, it also\u00a0explores\u00a0questions concerning self-control implied in\u00a0the current ethical debate on\u00a0moral enhancement. It will be comprised of a study group, which reads the latest\u00a0philosophical and neuroethical research\u00a0on\u00a0self-control, and three workshops.<\/p>\n<p>The workshops will be constituted of a keynote talk and a series of presentations, giving participants in the study group and other interested persons\u00a0a chance to present their research on the topic. Confirmed keynote speakers include <a href=\"http:\/\/www.neuro-ethics.org\">Neil Levy<\/a>\u00a0(Melbourne \/ Oxford) and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.neuroethics.ox.ac.uk\/our_members\/tom_douglas\">Tom Douglas<\/a> (Oxford).
