Baltic Ports Organisation (BPO) arranged their 25th years anniversary seminar in Helsinki 8-9 September. The themes of the seminar were \u201dPolitical and economic cooperation across Baltic &amp; Europe\u201d and \u201dBaltic Sea as a model region for clean ports and maritime transport\u201d. Summary of the conference can be found <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bpoports.com\/baltic-ports-met-in-helsinki-and-celebrate-bpo\u2019s-25th-anniversary.html\">here<\/a>\u00a0(day 1)\u00a0and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bpoports.com\/day-ii-baltic-as-a-model-region-for-green-ports.html\">here<\/a> (day 2).<\/p>\n<p>A couple of weeks later, 14-15 September, the port actors gathered in Kokkola, Where the Finnish Port Association and the Finnish Port Operators&#8217; Association arranged a conference together. HAZARD Project Director Lauri Ojala took part in a panel discussion about the future of the field.
