Private Actors in Compulsory Schooling in Finland, Sweden and New Zealand (HOPES) | Research project <\/strong><strong>Funded by Academy of Finland (01.09.2017 &#8211; 31.08.2022<\/strong><strong>)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The HOPES research project investigates growing private sector involvement in public education comparing three small countries with historically strong public education systems: Finland, Sweden and New Zealand. In Finland privatisation may be just beginning to emerge, and in Sweden and New Zealand the private sector has already become more involved.<\/p>\n<p>We will analyse private interests and actors from websites, policy documents, and interviews. The HOPES project will contribute to international debates about the nature and impact of the private sector involvement in education and the emergence of a so-called \u2018Global Education Industry\u2019. Yksityiset toimijat oppivelvollisuuskoulussa Suomessa, Ruotsissa ja Uudessa-Seelannissa (HOPES) | Tutkimushanke, jota rahoittaa Suomen Akatemia (01.09.2017 &#8211; 31.08.2022)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Tutkimushakkeessa tarkastellaan kansainv\u00e4lisesti nopeasti kasvavaa yhteiskunnallista ilmi\u00f6t\u00e4, yksityisten toimijoiden osallistumista julkisiin peruskouluj\u00e4rjestelmiin. Tunnistamme yksityisi\u00e4 toimijoita oppivelvollisuuskouluissa ja koulutuspolitiikassa kolmessa pieness\u00e4 maassa, joissa on historiallisesti ollut vahva julkinen kouluj\u00e4rjestelm\u00e4. Vertaamme Suomen yksityisten koulutustoimijoiden orastavaa nousua Ruotsiin ja Uuteen-Seelantiin, joissa yksityiset toimijat ovat jo muuntuneet osaksi julkista kouluj\u00e4rjestelm\u00e4\u00e4.<\/p>\n<p>Analysoimme erilaisia internetaineistoja ja politiikkadokumentteja ja haastattelemme keskeisi\u00e4 toimijoita. Tulokset tuovat t\u00e4rke\u00e4n uuden osan kansainv\u00e4liseen keskusteluun julkisen koulutuksen yksityist\u00e4miskehityksest\u00e4 ja globaalin koulutusteollisuuden noususta. Tutkimustuloksilla on koulutuspoliittista sovellusarvoa Suomessa ja muualla.<\/p>\n<p>HOPES-tutkimushanketta johdetaan Elinik\u00e4isen oppimisen ja koulutuksen tutkimuskeskuksesta (CELE) Turun yliopistossa.
