Through this website we want to share<\/strong> an effort that University of Turku through Future Technologies Department is allocating to promote the growth of the local industry.\u00a0 We develop two courses<\/strong> under the FiTech project<\/a> with the aim to promote discovery, connection and collaboration<\/strong> within academia and between academia and industry.\u00a0 The purpose of this website is two fold:\u00a0 (i) to\u00a0 serve as an invitation to the community to join our efforts in these two courses and (ii)\u00a0 as a coordination medium for those who want to participate in these courses and seminars.<\/p>\n 1. Industrial Seminar on Future Technologies<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n This course is versatile and has a nontraditional approach. The course aims to expose participants to the challenges and vision of the local industry.\u00a0 Each seminar session is lead by a guest industry who shares its\u00a0 visions or challenges with the participants.\u00a0 The process for each seminar session is as follows:<\/p>\n This course grants 5 ECTS to those students who participated in\u00a0 6 seminars, and submit their pre- and post assignments.\u00a0\u00a0 The enrollment is open for each seminar, so you can join this course at any moment during the academic year.\u00a0 We are welcoming constantly students who have the willingness to be exposed to this learning approach!\u00a0\u00a0 This seminar takes place once per month as we are contacting companies constantly, and we need to coordinate with them before the seminar.<\/p>\n NOTE:\u00a0 This is a mandatory course for those students enrolled in\u00a0 FiTech minor: Inudstrial ICT\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n 2. Technology Phenomena in Context<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n The main aim to this course is to build the foundations for bridging the participant’s knowledge in engineering or computer science with our digital economy.\u00a0 To achieve this goal, we need to understand the context where our development efforts are located and the different stakeholders that are involved in this process.\u00a0 To enrich the information of this course it is offered in collaboration of outstanding researchers from Tuku Business School and Future Technologies department. Additionally, we have experts from industry to offer their insights on how the world is evolving outside of the university.\u00a0 If you are interested to be part of this course, remember to enroll to it!<\/p>\n NOTE:\u00a0 This is a mandatory course for those students enrolled in FiTech minor:\u00a0 Co-reation and platform economy<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n <\/p>\n Due to the innovative approach of these two courses we need a virtual space to coordinate and share our efforts.
