The Baltic Seas International Maritime Conference organized by the University of Turku, Kotka Maritime Research Centre and the University of Le Havre invites all interested participants from across the globe to submit papers or abstracts and present the latest scientific developments. Join and share the latest innovations and developments in maritime studies, technological advancements, sea borne logistics, and port operations. The event is a unique experience to exchange ideas and encourage collaboration with colleagues from academia.
The first day of the Conference is scientific and the other day consists of two extrasessions that are aimed at professionals, academics and students . Themes of the extrasessions are related to Baltic and Adriatic.
Abstract submission guidelines: The Baltic Seas conference welcomes abstract submission on the designated fields. Conference themes, topics and scientific committee can be found from the Call for Papers and Abstracts. All abstracts are single-blind peer reviewed and they should be 1 pages in length. Abstracts may be submitted to firstname.lastname@example.org until15th May 2019 and the notification of acceptance will be delivered 20th June 2019 . They will be published as an abstract book with an ISBN number in the publication series of Centre for Maritime Studies.

Registration and fees: The registration fee for the Conference is 180 € (+vat 24 %), students for free (0 €). This includes the participation in the conference, conference materials, lunch, coffees and the fieldtrip. The registrations are requested latest on Monday 9thSeptember 2019 by filling in the online registration form.
Accommodation: A quota of rooms has been reserved for the participants from two hotels in the city centre of Turku. More information about the accommodation here.
