L\u00e4\u00e4nemaa case area reaches from Hara peninsula to Ristinina peninsula. Area is located mainly in L\u00e4\u00e4ne-Nigula municipality, but northwest part of L\u00e4\u00e4ne-Harju municipality (Keibu village) is also involved.<\/p>\n<p>In the context of SustainBaltic project a zonation created for L\u00e4\u00e4nemaa case area which covers the marine and coastal zones. Marine zones (= shallow waters i.e. 300 m from the shoreline to 3 km towards the sea) include 1) The general use and 2) The targeted management (see the methods of <a href=\"http:\/\/hendrikson.ee\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/Merealade_planeerimise_metoodika.pdf\">the Marine Spatial Planning<\/a>). Coastal zones (=from the coastline 3 km towards the inland and 300 m towards the sea) include 1) Harbour and industrial; 2) Residential development; 3) Traditional residential; 4) Agricultural; 5) Tourism development; 6) Recreation; and 7) Nature areas.<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-269 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/blogit.utu.fi\/sustainbaltic\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/87\/2018\/04\/Web-map-application-300x145.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"403\" height=\"195\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogit.utu.fi\/sustainbaltic\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/87\/2018\/04\/Web-map-application-300x145.jpg 300w, https:\/\/blogit.utu.fi\/sustainbaltic\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/87\/2018\/04\/Web-map-application-768x370.jpg 768w, https:\/\/blogit.utu.fi\/sustainbaltic\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/87\/2018\/04\/Web-map-application-1024x494.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/blogit.utu.fi\/sustainbaltic\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/87\/2018\/04\/Web-map-application.jpg 1891w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 403px) 100vw, 403px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Public assessment<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>A web map application<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/goo.gl\/5dNC5F\">https:\/\/goo.gl\/5dNC5F<\/a> has been created to present the zonation and to collect the data from people. In this web map application\u00a0people can make suggestions to change the borders or targets of zones and add valuable spatial data (e.g. information about closed roads, fishing areas etc).<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-280 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/blogit.utu.fi\/sustainbaltic\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/87\/2018\/04\/poster_L\u00e4\u00e4nemaa-212x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"409\" height=\"579\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogit.utu.fi\/sustainbaltic\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/87\/2018\/04\/poster_L\u00e4\u00e4nemaa-212x300.jpg 212w, https:\/\/blogit.utu.fi\/sustainbaltic\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/87\/2018\/04\/poster_L\u00e4\u00e4nemaa.jpg 422w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 409px) 100vw, 409px\" \/>The information about zonation and public discussion about zonation has been published in <strong>local newspapers L\u00e4\u00e4ne Elu<\/strong> (March 2018) and <strong>L\u00e4\u00e4ne-Nigula municipality newspaper<\/strong> (April 2018), in <strong>L\u00e4\u00e4nemaa County <a href=\"http:\/\/www.laanlane.ee\/\">news portal L\u00e4\u00e4nlane<\/a><\/strong> and in <strong>Noarootsi municipality\u2019s Facebook<\/strong> site in addition to <strong>the posters<\/strong> that were placed to public areas in L\u00e4\u00e4nemaa case area.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The public discussion meeting<\/strong> about zonation and ICZM report will be held <strong>on the 20<sup>th<\/sup> of April, 2018 at 14-17 in P\u00fcrksi Cultural house<\/strong>. The stakeholders, local entrepreneurs and municipality officers and all local people are invited. The suggestions made by ICZM plan are indicative and local municipalities can utilise the ICZM plan in their planning processes.
