Cajander and colonial forestry<\/em> &#8211; online<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>14.45\u201315.15<\/strong> <strong>Final discussion and closing of the symposium (Room A112)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>*<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-large-font-size\">KEYNOTE SPEAKERS<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Dr. Stephanie Olsen<\/strong>, FRHistS, is a Senior Researcher at the Centre of Excellence in the History of Experiences (Tampere University), previously at the Max Planck Institute for Human Development, (History of Emotions) (Berlin) and the Minda de Gunzburg Center for European Studies (Harvard University).&nbsp; She is author\/co-author of Juvenile Nation: Youth, Emotions and the Making of the Modern British Citizen (Bloomsbury, 2014) and Learning How to Feel: Children\u2019s Literature and the History of Emotional Socialization (OUP, 2014), the editor of Childhood, Youth and Emotions in Modern History (Palgrave, 2015), and the co-editor of the 6-volume Cultural History of Youth (Bloomsbury, 2023). She co-edits the journal History of Education. Her research currently focuses on the \u2018Lived Nation\u2019 in the context of the British Empire, specifically children\u2019s (informal) education in the context of the First World War and the \u2018limits\u2019 of those experiences, including children\u2019s stories and dreams.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Dr. Markku Hokkanen<\/strong> (PhD, University of Jyv\u00e4skyl\u00e4 2006) is a Senior Lecturer in History at the University of Oulu and Docent in General History at the University of Jyv\u00e4skyl\u00e4. He specializes in histories of medicine and health, colonialism and British empire (especially in the Malawi region).&nbsp;His publications include the monograph&nbsp;<em>Medicine, mobility and the empire: Nyasaland networks, 1859\u00ad<\/em>\u2013<em>1960&nbsp;<\/em>(2017) the co-edited collection&nbsp;<em>Healers and Empires in Global History: Healing as Hybrid and Contested Knowledge&nbsp;<\/em>(2019) and the collaborative monograph on histories and memories of Finnish development work (<em>Kehitysyhteisty\u00f6n mieli ja mielett\u00f6myys,&nbsp;<\/em>2023).
