Lapsen siirtyess\u00e4 varhaiskasvatuksen piirin arjen rytmi muuttuu, saadaan uusia yst\u00e4vi\u00e4, tehd\u00e4\u00e4n uusia asioita ja leikit\u00e4\u00e4n leikkej\u00e4, joihin lapsen on helppo l\u00e4hte\u00e4 mukaan ja tottua. Mutta jos lapsi tuleekin ihan toisenlaisesta kulttuuripiirist\u00e4, jossa varhaiskasvatus ja p\u00e4iv\u00e4koti saattavat olla joltain osin tunnistettavia k\u00e4sitteit\u00e4, mutta joista ei oikeasti viel\u00e4 tiedet\u00e4 mit\u00e4\u00e4n. Kuinka j\u00e4nnitt\u00e4vi\u00e4 ja arkea mullistavia hetki\u00e4 ne ovat? <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Haluamme tuoda p\u00e4iv\u00e4kotik\u00e4ytt\u00f6\u00f6n uudenlaisen tietopaketin, helposti t\u00e4ytett\u00e4v\u00e4n \u201cStarting kindergarten\u201d- tietovihkosen, jonka avulla toisesta maasta muuttava perhe ja perheen lapsi saavat t\u00e4rke\u00e4\u00e4 tietoa p\u00e4iv\u00e4kodista. Vihossa on my\u00f6s uudenlainen yst\u00e4v\u00e4ni-kirjoista tuttu osio, jossa perhe p\u00e4\u00e4see kertomaan enemm\u00e4n itsest\u00e4\u00e4n sek\u00e4 tarkemmin p\u00e4iv\u00e4kotiin tulevasta lapsesta. Sovelluksemme tarkoituksena on l\u00e4hent\u00e4\u00e4 p\u00e4iv\u00e4kotia sek\u00e4 perhett\u00e4 alusta alkaen sek\u00e4 helpottaa p\u00e4iv\u00e4kodin aloitusta niin lapsen kuin vanhempienkin puolesta.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:18px\"><strong>What we did, why and for who&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Transferring in kindergarten and into kindergarten can be hard, especially if you are new to the culture. Our solution to this is to try to bring the Finnish kindergarten a little closer to these families in particular. Our starting point for this invention was that we wanted to support these new families that had come to Finland and needed to start or continue kindergarten. With our creation we aim on minimizing the misunderstandings and issues that occur from people growing up in different parts of the globe. But how you might ask? With good information trading. According to our sources these families of different languages might feel a bit left out and might need more help with assimilating to the new surrounding culture. The first part gives information to the family from what the day to day life in kindergarten is like to what kind of clothing children need. The second part gives information about the family back to the kindergarten, so they\u2019ll know more about them. After that is the part where the family can ask questions about the kindergarten should they wish to. But why should some people from a kindergarten get information on your family? To put it simply so that the early education educators know more of your family\u2019s culture and wishes and get to know your family as well as the child. This is important because they want to educate the child to adapt to both cultures and languages. The child should also draw the drawings.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:18px\"><strong>Feedback<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We have received feedback from two different kindergarten employees. They liked it and would use it in their respectable kindergartens. One of them particularly liked the drawing part, that way the employees would instantly get an idea of the child&#8217;s motor skills and might get an idea of how the child sees him\/herself. The other one was very worried about the language barrier, since not all people who move to Finland speak English. But our university asked us to do the materials in English, so that&#8217;s what we did.
