The 20th Nordic Demographic Symposium will be held on June 14–16, 2017 in Turku (Åbo), on the southwest coast of Finland. The biennial symposium brings together researchers, students and other experts especially from the Nordic and Baltic countries.
The main theme of the NDS2017 is Demography and Social Inequalities. The invited keynote speakers will address social inequalities from different perspectives, but the parallel sessions will include presentations from all main areas of demographic research (see themes). The symposium is organised by the Finnish Demographic Society in collaboration with the University of Turku Department of Social Research, TITA Research consortium, and Institute of Migration.
The abstract submission is now closed, but you are welcome to participate without a paper. The registration will open on 1 March 2017. For those who submitted abstracts: thank you all! Our scientific programme team is at work and will send the notifications of acceptance by 1 March.
