Our purpose is to advocate the rights of doctoral researchers at the faculty of Social Sciences, develop a sense of community and enhance networking. We plan and organize academic and social activities and events for the members of the association and the doctoral researchers of Social and Behavioral Sciences and Invest Doctoral Programmes. The association also supports and assists international doctoral researchers of the aforementioned Doctoral Programmes. The working languages of the association are Finnish and English.
The association is governed by a board that consists of a chair, 2–9 board members and 0–4 deputy members. The chair and the board members are elected in the annual meeting. The term of the board is one calendar year. The board elects from its ranks the positions of vice-chair, secretary, treasurer and other managerial positions.
The association was founded in December 2022. The association has been a member of the Student Union of the University of Turku (TYY) since 2024.
