How can I join the association?
Do you want to become a member of Docturne? Visit the Membership info page, fill out the Webropol form from the link and you’ll become a member! The privacy notice of the membership register is also available to read or download on the same page.
How can I join the Docturne Whatsapp group?
Once you have signed up as member, you can ask the board to add you to the Docturne Whatsapp Group by sending an email with your phone number to docturne@utu.fi.
I have issues with my supervisor and I don’t know how to handle the situation alone. Can you help me find support?
Yes! To provide information and support in difficult events is one of the key themes behind the work of the association. You can read more about how to deal with conflicts in supervision in English here and in Finnish here.
In addition, you can contact the board of Docturne via email (docturne@utu.fi) and we’ll help you, confidentially of course. And in case you feel uncomfortable sending email to the whole board, you can also send an email directly to one board member of your choice. We’ll get you the help and support you need!
How can I get to know other doctoral researchers of the faculty?
Join our events, for example the informal get-togethers like our Coffee Breaks!
I’m not employed by the faculty. Can I still join the association?
Yes of course. Welcome!
I’m a doctoral researcher but study / work at the Rauma campus. Is this association for me?
Yes! All doctoral researchers of the Faculty of Education are welcome. The more the merrier!
