The 20th Nordic Demographic Symposium will be held on June 14–16, 2017 in Turku (Åbo), on the southwest coast of Finland. The biennial symposium brings together researchers, students and other experts especially from the Nordic and Baltic countries.
The main theme of the NDS2017 is Demography and Social Inequalities. The invited keynote speakers will address social inequalities from different perspectives, but the parallel and poster sessions will include presentations from all main areas of demographic research (see themes). The symposium is organised by the Finnish Demographic Society in collaboration with the University of Turku Department of Social Research, TITA Research consortium, and Institute of Migration.
The registration for the symposium is now closed, and the scientific programme and abstracts have been published. We are looking forward to welcoming ca. 150 participants to the symposium.
