By train

Turku can be conveniently reached by train. Tickets and timetables are available at vr.fi. Please note that trains between Turku and Helsinki do not currently run to Turku train station, but terminate and depart at Kupittaa due to track work. Trains between Turku and Tampere terminate and depart at the Turku main station. Tickets need to be purchased in advance, and are usually cheaper the earlier they are purchased.

By bus

Tickets and timetables are available at matkahuolto.fi or onnibus.com. Tickets can be purchased in advance or on board the bus if there are available seats. Note that tickets purchased in advance tend to cost less.

By plane

Turku can currently be reached via plane directly from Gdansk (Poland), Mariehamn (Åland), Riga (Latvia), Rhodes (Greece), Rome (Italy), and Stockholm (Sweden). The closest other airports are Helsinki-Vantaa and Tampere-Pirkkala, both of which can be reached via public transport. Further information can be found at finavia.fi.

By car

Turku can also of course be reached via private car. Please note, however, that the symposium organizers are unable to provide parking, and parking provided by hotels varies. Public parking near the venue is often subject to a fee and/or time restrictions.

The Turku City visitor page has some useful information on getting around the city. The venue is located within walking distance from the city center and Kupittaa, but it can also be reached by bus. For timetables and other current information see foli.fi.
