Project

Bioethics for Finnish Primary School Students

We have started a bioethics project targeted specifically to primary school students. The project is carried out in co-operation with teacher and philosopher Oki Lindgrén and Comprehensive school of Muonio, Finland. The goal is to find ways in which the pupils can learn to discuss important bioethical questions and find their own solutions to them. The center for the study of bioethics has provided school of Muonio with several texts on bioethical matters such as considerable life extension, de-extinction and duty to help others. The texts will be used in teaching of life philosophy classes as well as in philosophy classes with older students. The experiences will be reported and reflected at the spring 2018.
