WP 1; the context of regional development in view of ICT and logistics concentrates on the connection of ICT and logistics to the regional development in the public sector. Work consists of desk research, workshops, regional data collection and work package Kick-off. Most part of the work takes place during Milestone 1 and 2. The main outcome is to develop the framework and guidelines for WP2&3. The actual data analyses will take place in WP2&3.
WP1 Leader Wismar University has expertise in regional development, and it coordinates the work on developing the LogOn Framework. The Core Team in WP 1 will mostly comprise research-based entities or capacity within the Partners (DE,FI,LV,SE, PL,RU). The other groups of Partners (i) Development agencies and regional authorities (DE,EE,FI,LT,LV,PL,SE,RU) and; (ii) Logistics and transport associations (DK,EE,LV,PL,RU) will be invited to comment this iterative work. The LogOn Baltic framework comprises the following components: project review, surveys, case studies, expert meetings and statistical data analysis (the level of detail in each region may vary). These will be used to construct a regional logstics profile that is intended to be a permanent
information package maintained by the partners also after the project.
LogOn Baltic Partners represent some of the best experts used to goal-oriented pragmatic work with both public and private
sector in this field within the Baltic Sea Region. With very potent
municipal and regional Partners, their real-life relevance of the
framework and its subsequent uses is guaranteed.
