OIL SPILL Discussion Event Organised in Oulu, Finland

A discussion event between local authorities and NGOs was organised in Oulu by the OIL SPILL project yesterday, on the 9th of October. The topic of conversation concerned the tasks suitable for volunteers in oil spill combatting operations. Because oil spill response requires both quick and long-term engagement, volunteers’ role is significant. Their tasks may vary from collecting oil spills to ensuring food supplies for participants.
