COMBI WORKS

On Friday March 17 we had our seminar session with Combi Works, an innovative company building the service economy concept in the complex world of manufacturing: #Factory_as_a_Service.

In this session, it was tangible for me, the importance to bring together the knowledge of different engineering specializations and computer science expertise to support the learning and growth process that any innovation conveys. Some topics might be easy for some knowledge areas while they are complicated for other specializations. We really need to #collaborate and #learn_from_one_another to #promote_innovation and #foster_growth.

Another treat of this session was to establish the dialogue with Edward Blomstedt, CEO of Combi Works. He shared with us his company, present the challenge and also let us have a glimpse on how a visionary is walking the path to make a reality his vision. Learning to conquering each challenge, one at the time.

To have the opportunity to listen and to reflect about how future graduates can support #Finnish_companies to be global leaders in their fields is, in my opinion, is of utmost importance. We are building our future today.

Thank you Edward Blomstedt for making time to be with us, for accepting the invitation to be a guest company in this course and for your trust in the process. Thank you to each one of the talented participants of this session (brilliant students and researchers from Turun yliopisto – University of Turku) and thanks to Jorma Turunen (who introduced Combi Works to us).
