MarEng Plus package enables you to use the learning tool also in situations when there is no network connection available. Before using the package, you must unpack (unzip) it. If you don’t already have zip/unzip software installed on your computer, you must first obtain suitable software. There are both free and commercial products on the market. Choose the one that suits you best.
Procedure:
1. Download the learning tool package on the hard disk of your computer
2. Create a folder with some descriptive name (e.g. MarEng Plus) and unzip the package on to it
3. To use learning tool locate and double-click file index.html in the folder where you unzipped the package
4. Alternatively you can burn the previously unpackaged contents of the folder to an empty writable CD/DVD, which makes it possible to use learning tool on any computer equipped with CD/DVD drive. If the autorun feature is enabled, the learning tool will start automatically when you insert the disk on the drive. Otherwise you must double-click file index.html located on the CD/DVD disk

Note: For using the MarEng Plus material you will need an updated version of Adobe’s Flash Player. MarEng Plus is a Flash application. Flash Player is available for all major operating systems: Windows, Mac OS (Mac OS X 10.1 and newer) and Linux/Solaris systems (any modern version). System requirements are available for viewing in the following address: www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/systemreqs. Installing Flash Player on these systems is a simple procedure that requires administrator level access to the system. Simply go to the address http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/ and it will automatically suggest the correct download. After downloading, the installation is completed as with any other program.
Note on Mac OS: Our programs are mostly tested on Flash Player 10 but only version 9 will be available prior Mac OS 10.4.
Note on Linux/Solaris: On Linux or Solaris the Flash Player is normally available for installation from the operating system’s own application manager (varies between distribution versions), but it is also available for download at the same URL as the Mac OS version. The page should, again, suggest the most appropriate version, but might require you to select between different installation packages. Anyone with knowledge of Linux systems should be able to select the correct package and install it in the usual way.
