Research Collegia of the University of Turku
The University of Turku hosts two multidisciplinary research collegia: Turku Institute for Advanced Studies (TIAS) and Turku Collegium for Science, Medicine and Technology (TCSMT). Both Collegiums aim to promote cutting-edge multidisciplinary research and advance the research careers of young scholars.
Turku Institute for Advanced Studies promotes cutting-edge university research in the humanities and social sciences. This includes studies in the arts and literature, business studies, cultural studies, economics, education, human geography, history, law, linguistics, languages, philosophy, political science, psychology, speech-language pathology, social policy, social work, sociology and research methodology, and their equivalents.
Turku Collegium for Science, Medicine and Technology is a multidisciplinary, interactive research platform for PhD scientists in Science, Medicine and Technology. This includes studies in the mathematics, IT, physics, chemistry, biochemistry, biology, geology, geography, medicine, biomedicine, dentistry and their equivalents.
