Turun yliopiston sosiaalitieteiden laitoksella toimiva tutkimusverkosto KULTVA ja performanssitaiteen festivaali New Performance Turku Festival tuovat tanssitaiteilija Maria Kanasen teoksen Kehokätköilyä Publicumin ja Educariumin edustalla olevalle aukiolle 1.9.-31.10.2021.

Tanssitaiteilija Maria Kanasen Kehokätköilyä-yhteisötanssiteos kutsuu kaikenikäiset ihmiset yhdessä ja erikseen pysähtymään hiljentymisen, läsnäolon, kuuntelun ja kehollisuuden äärelle. Teos rakentuu kaupunkitilaan sijoitetuista QR-koodirasteista, joiden yksinkertaiset tehtävät johdattelevat osallistujat kehollisen kokemisen ja omaa kehoa kuuntelevan liikkumisen äärelle.

Osana KULTVAn ja New Performance Turun yhteistyötä Publicumin ja Educariumin edustalle tulee Turun yliopiston oma Kehokätköilyä-rasti, jonka tehtäviä voi tehdä omatoimisesti 1.9.-31.10.2021. Rasti on avoinna kaikille kiinnostuneille ja sen tehtävät sopivat hyvin myös opiskelun ja työskentelyn tauottamiseen. Tehtävät aukeavat, kun rastin QR-koodin skannaa kännykällä.

Kehokätköilyä on mukana myös New Performance Turku –festivaalilla 3.-5.9.2021. Rastien kehollisiin tehtäviin pääsee tutustumaan festivaalin aikana myös Marian ohjaamien kävelykierrosten muodossa.

Researcher network KULTVA, located at the Department of Social Sciences, and New Performance Turku Festival together bring dance artist Maria Kananen’s community dance piece Kehokätköilyä to the square in front of Publicum and Educarium 1.9.-31.10.2021.

Dance artist Maria Kananen’s Kehokätköilyä community dance piece invites people of all ages both together and individually to pause for listening, presence and bodily experience. The work is constructed from QR codes placed in the urban space. The exercises on these control points lead participants to move and enjoy the urban environment and green spaces in a deeper way.

As a part of the collaboration between KULTVA and New Performance Turku festival, one Kehokätköilyä control point will be placed to the square in front of Publicum and Educarium. The exercises of this control point can be performed independently by scanning the control point’s QR code with your mobile phone.

The exercises can also be explored during the New Performace Turku Festival 3-5.9.2021 in the form of guided walks together with Maria Kananen.
