The Role of Danish Civil Protection League in OIL SPILL (2/3)

In OIL SPILL, the Danish Civil Protection League participates in workshops, seminars and exercises, where we can contribute with our long-time knowledge of volunteers in emergency response. We can exchange knowledge and know-how between the Project Partners and other organizations, all the different professionals and fire and rescue services.

Recently, we participated in the M/S Haveri tabletop exercise organized by the Finnish Red Cross in Naantali, Finland. Later on, we will bring our volunteers with us to the Vellamo exercise, where they can participate in the rescue effort.

We are going to share all the information we gather and create during the project with our volunteers through our magazine FRIVILLIG (transl. Volunteer).

We are also planning a communication and networking event for OIL SPILL authorities and fire and rescue services together with the Southwest Finland Emergency Services. The event will be held in Denmark, and the focus is on learnings from the previous oil spill response activities in the Baltic Sea Region.
