Kick-off Meeting 22-23 March 2016, Turku
The ChemSAR Kick-off meeting will take place in Turku, Finland on 22 – 23 March 2016. Please see the Draft Agenda enclosed.
The meeting will be held at Auriga Business Center, the address is Juhana Herttuan Puistokatu 21. It is located ca. 2,5 km from the Turku city centre near the Turku Castle and the Port of Turku. Please see the enclosures to this mail for more detailed information about locations and accommodation possibilities.

Steering Group
We will the ChemSAR Steering Group work during the Kick-off days by having its first meeting. For this I would like our partners to send me the name and contact information of their Steering Group member so that we can be in contact with them before the Kick-off. The Steering Group was promised to be set in the ChemSAR Application Form and its tasks are described like this:
The project will set a steering Group (SG), to secure the strategic management of the project. It will consist of representatives from all of the projects partner organisations (one per organisation), and if possible, of also some external members. The main function of the SG is to monitor the project’s progress towards the project’s objectives, and to facilitate the project implementation in regular meetings, approximately twice a year. In cases of disagreement the SG will be the main tool to resolve disputes. The SG members will also act as links to other interest groups, thus enhancing the distribution of project information and outcome. The persons named to the SG will be decided upon in the beginning of the project. The LA will be in charge of convening the SG meetings according to the rules set in the first meeting.
I have also made a list of our project partners’ contact information. As the aim is to start the ChemSAR activities, I urge you to be in contact with your Group of Activity and WP Leaders and vice versa already in advance to make our meeting fruitful. (Please inform me whether there are mistakes or someone missing from the list.)
Just for your information that we are going to have the first ChemSAR management team (LP and WP Leaders) meeting in Helsinki on 1 March 2016. So, if you have any greetings to the team, please send them to me before that date. Further, we are still waiting for the Joint Secretariat’s reply to our clarifications.
