PA SAFE Flagship seminar

The EU Strategy for Baltic Sea Region (EUSBSR) is the first comprehensive EU strategy to target a ‘macro-region’. The eight EU countries that make up the Baltic Sea Region (Sweden, Denmark,
Estonia, Finland, Germany, Latvia, Lithuania and Poland) face several common challenges which are reflected in the jointly-agreed Action Plan for the Strategy. It includes a number of policy areas/horizontal actions to save the sea, connect the region and increase prosperity –
each accompanied by concrete flagships project.

One of the policy areas, PA SAFE, has the overall goal for the Baltic Sea“to become a leading region in maritime safety and security”. PA SAFE is jointly coordinated by the Finnish Transport Safety Agency and the Danish Maritime Authority.

PA SAFE held a flagship seminar “Results from the Maritime Safety Related Research” in Vantaa 25 November 2016. ChemSAR was also presented at the seminar, as it is one of the Flagship projects of the PA SAFE.
