The three EUSBSR Flagship projects ChemSAR, HAZARD and DiveSMART Baltic, are organizing a discussion event on Policy Issues in Maritime and Port Safety and Security for decision makers, experts and stakeholders in Brussels on 26th April 2017. The event will gather policymakers and the operative actors of the field to discuss current issues and challenges on maritime and port safety.
The event will last half-a-day, after which a lunch will be served. Please see the enclosure for further information.

The event is organized in cooperation of three EUSBRS flagship projects running under the Baltic Sea Interreg programme, namely:
ChemSAR – Operational plans and procedures for maritime search and rescue in HNS incidents (lead partner is the Centre for Maritime Studies of the University of Turku)
HAZARD – Mitigating the effects of emergencies in the Baltic Sea Region ports (lead partner is the School of Economics of the Universlity of Turku)
DiveSMART Baltic – Diving with state maritime resources together in the Baltic (lead partner is the Swedish Coastguard)
