There will be social programme after the academic programme on all conference days. Please note that the social programme fees are not included in the conference registration fee. The conference dinner on Friday can be paid separately later, meanwhile the museum visit and national park visit on Saturday must be paid separately at the venue. The guided tour on Thursday is sponsored by the city of Turku and therefore is free.
Thursday 22.5.2025: Guided tour
Historical Turku through Ages Walking Tour around central Turku. Throughout the tour, you will gain insights into both the past and present of Turku. This tour offers a perfect blend of stories, sights, and local insights.
The event is free of charge and has a limit of 30 participants. The tour will begin at 19:00 at Turku Cathedral (Tuomiokirkonkatu 1, 20500 Turku) and will last around 90 minutes. The tour ends near the Market Square.
Friday 23.5.2025: Conference dinner

Saturday 24.5.2025: Museum visit OR National park visit
After the conference officially closes, you have a chance to either learn more about Finnish history and modern art or explore the Finnish nature according to your own interests with the conference organizers.
Museum visit: Aboa Vetus Ars Nova
A visit to the archaeological museum Aboa Vetus and the museum of modern art Ars Nova. The entrance fee is 20€ in total for both museums. We will meet at the museum entrance (Itäinen Rantakatu 4-6, 20700 Turku). More details will be communicated later.

National park visit: Kurjenrahka National Park
A visit to the Kurjenrahka National Park, located 35km away from central Turku. Entrance to the park is free, but you need to buy a bus ticket for 3,15€. One of the conference organizers will join you, and we will meet near the Turku Orthodox Church at the northern side of the Market Square. More details will be communicated later.
