Research project ASLA is funded by the Academy of Finland as Academy Professor Johanna Niemi´s research grant 2015-2019. Also the Finnish Cultural Foundation contributes to the project (Isotalo).
The project builds on Niemi’s earlier work on law and gender and specifically on projects GeNeSo (Generational Negotiaitions, Social Control and Gendered Sexualities 2013-2016) and Gendered Choices (2013-2016) also funded by the Academy of Finland.
