Products developed in the ResQU2 projects raise interest beyond the Baltic Sea Region

ChemSAR has been a topic on the agenda of the annual Maritime Search and Rescue Conference for many years now. This year is special as ChemSAR partners Mr. Teemu Niemelä, Finnish Border Guard, and Mr. Danel Tüür, Estonian Police and Border Guard Board, were able to present final ChemSAR results for the audience comprising search and rescue professionals. The MSAR conference took place in Tallinn on 16 May 2019. The conference was very international and ChemSAR standard operational procedures raised interest in representatives that come as far away as from Japan.

At the same time, The 2nd Annual FIRE-IN Dissemination Workshop took place in Barcelona, Spain on 14 May 2019. It was organised by the European Fire and Rescue Innovation Network and they invited our ResQU2 platform to be presented there. Fire Officer Miikka Toivonen from Southwest Finland Emergency Services participated in the workshop as a speaker and presented ResQU2 and its regular projects. The international audience comprised emergency preparedness experts from several European countries.
