Best practices for rescue operations in hazardous and noxious substances incidents

Save the date 22-23 Oct 2019!

ResQU2 is organising a seminar/workshop in Riga 22-23 October 2019. The purpose is to share the gained knowledge and best practices in incidents involving hazardous and noxious substances, whether the incident happens in a port or at sea.

The seminar will go deeper into risk management, organising international exercises and the meaning of communication between the authorities in an incident. The presented results are based on knowledge gained during HAZARD project.

The new procedures for maritime SAR in HNS incidents will also be presented. The procedures were created in ChemSAR project and they are available to use by all maritime rescue authorities around the Baltic sea (and beyond).

The new technological innovations and solutions and their influence to the rescue operation are under a loop in a workshop. How do they increase maritime preparedness? We are looking forward to active participation on this subject.

The seminar is free for participants, including lunch/coffee daily. Participants should however cover their own travel and accommodation costs.
